Mimosas are the quintessential drink synonymous with brunch. Almost every brunch spot offers mimosas by the glass or pitcher. There are many variations of a mimosa which is simply changing out the type of fruit juice. Depending on the type of sparkling wine used, this beverage could leave a nasty little headache so I always ask what sparkling wine is used and if switching out is possible. I’ve found a few different sparkling wines/ prosecco that doesn’t seem to leave my head spinning or break the bank.
Freixenet Cordon Negro Cava Brut
Segura Viudas Cava Brut
La Marca Prosecco
1 bottle Sparkling Wine
1 cup Orange Juice
1 Flute or Coupe
1 tbsp any flavor liqueur for a extra kick, optional
Fruit Garnish for Rim, optional
Fill 3/4 of glass with sparkling wine, add liqueur and top with or juice. Use more orange juice is you’re not big on the sparkling wine taste.
Happy Sipping and Remember to Drink Responsibly!!
