Garlic Chilli Wings (Air Fryer Edition)

Air Fryers have been around for quite some time but within the last couple of years, its’ populartiy has risen. Wanting to see what the hype was about I decided to purchase an air fryer. That wasn’t an easy task because there are so many brands with different bells and whistles. I decided on a model that allows mutiple settings and shelving. Be sure to use the recommend cooking settings for your air fryer when using this recipe.

6 Chicken Wings, cut into portions and tip removed
1/2 cup Garlic Chilli Sauce (Can found in the International aisle at most local grocers)
1/2 stick Butter
1/4 cup Green Onion, sliced
1 tbsp Yellow Mustard
2 tsp Seasame Seeds
Spices: Black Pepper, Salt, Garlic Powder and 1 tsp Cayenne Powder (season to your comfort level but don’t add too much cayenne)

Prep:
Season chicken with spices and yellow mustard. Refrigerate for a minimum of two hours if possible. Why? Think of the spices as a marinade that enhances the taste of the chicken.

Cook:
Preheat air fyer to 400F or as instructed on your machine. Place wings on racks or inside bowl (depending on your model) making sure that wings are arranged in a single layer for even cooking. Cook for 7-10 minutes depending on your model.

In a microwave safe bowl melt butter then stir in garlic chilli sauce along with half of the green onions. Once wings are cooked, toss in sauce until well coated. Plate and sprinkle with seasame seeds and green onions. Serve with the favorite wing dipping sauce and Happy Eating!!
