Creole Remoulade Sauce

Remoulade is a traditional French sauce that has seen a transformation in Louisiana cuisine to what we know as Creole Remoulade. Creole or Louisiana remoulade is different from its traditional cousin by adding more spice and color. Creole Remoulade is traditionally served with seafood and fried green tomatoes. There are many recipes for remoulade and here’s one more to add to that list.

1 cup Mayonnaise
1/4 cup Creole Mustard of Dijon Mustard
1 tbsp Louisiana Style Hot Sauce
1 tbsp Capers, rough chopped
1 tbsp Garlic, minced
1 tbsp Lemon Juice
1 tbsp Green Onion, sliced
Spices:
1 tsp Paprika
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper
Black Pepper and Kosher Salt, to taste

Combine all ingredients and mix throughly. Refrigerate in an airtight container until needed then serve with your favorite seafood.
